No, that’s just ash from the Volcano on Montserrat. The island, more than 50 miles away, experienced an eruption yesterday and ash fell for most of the evening. According to news reports the volcano shot ash more than 9 miles into the air.This morning everything was covered in a layer of dust and many took to washing down their streets, porches and cars. Schools on Guadeloupe are closed and many people are wearing masks to protect themselves from the dust that is being stirred up by everyday traffic.
